One morning I never forgot

Once when I went to college in the morning at the beginning of the semester, I woke up late. Only about 20 minutes remaining from the specified schedule. I could attend the class on time with the remaining time, but something caught my attention while on the way.

First, when I was going to buy snacks for my breakfast. Due to the seller and the road I passed through a kindergarten, the area looked crowded with children and some parents. But it was not the crowd that caught my attention when I bought breakfast, but two kids who fought over a toy. At first, I wanted to ignore it, but their funny conversation made me interested, and I laughed. In essence, one of the children seemed to be taking revenge because she could not borrow the toy she wanted, with which the other child was playing. So, she was also reluctant to give the toy with which she was still playing.

Second, the faculty was across from the college field, so I had to pass the area. Again, my attention was distracted. Some people were practising archery. It felt fantastic to hold a bow and arrow, especially when the air was still cool. Because there was an archery extracurricular back in high school, just imagining being able to touch the bow again was exciting.

Until the bell hit me, reminded me that I was late for class. I ran as fast as possible to catch up on the course. I finally could sit in the class but be less focused because I was too busy controlling my exhausted breath.

Over time I realized that one of the members was a lecturer from my faculty. It made me think, “Would I be caught because I was late for class several times because I saw archery practice?”. Even so, every time someone is practising archery, I still get distracted.
